It's not even extreme to ride your bike to work, but we say that it should be safer and we want the ABC to back us.

This has famously been called "Harder than Ironman".  133km, 3 disciplines, six legs.  Only if you're up to it.

Melrose is hosting the 10th Fat Tyre Festival on the weekend 8 - 11 June, hard on the heels of the Kona Dirty Weekend.  These people know how to do it.  So we're into this being a lifestyle, and given that I'm nursing injuries right now, an event that makes for a good weekend without having to go all that hard is sounding about right.

It seems there's no end to the world classness in Western Australia.  Lancelin hosts the 4 Day Ocean Classic, with a field of about 400 world beaters taking on a 25 year event.

French speed ace Alex Caizergues won the inaugural Red Bull Lighthouse to Leighton kitesurfing race in emphatic fashion at Fremantle on Saturday December 11. The whole show was freaking awesome, and the crowd that turned out to see some real entertainment looks to have made sure we'll get another bite at it next year.

This January, on Saturday 22, anywhere up to 200 mountain bikers will set out on a pretty extreme challenge, play your cards right and you could be pushing yourself to limits you might not even know you have, with massive scenery, and 199 of your best mates.
