BMX Legend Cory “Nasty” Nastazio & his teammates - Colin MacKay, Dennis Enarson and Ronnie Napolitan – are heading DownUnder for the XSport Games® at Sydney Olympic Park on November 13-14!!

“Nasty” started competing in 1995, capturing his first cover on Ride BMX Magazine in 1997, then claimed silver at the 2000 XGames behind Ryan Nyquist and went one better to win gold at the Australian XGames in 2002.

After a serious car accident in 2004, which landed him in Intensive Care with a brain haemorrhage and a collapsed lung, Nastazio returned to the top level of Freestyle BMX competition, winning the 2006 Extreme Thing contest and finishing in the top 10 of the Dew Tour’s overall BMX dirt rankings in both ’05 and ’08.

This renewed success led “Nasty” to join Haro Bikes’ team for the 2009 season : “I re-dedicated myself to riding and contests last year and my results improved.... (Now), my goal is to reach the top spot more than once…and with Haro’s support I have no doubt I’ll make it happen”.

Nastazio will be accompanied by his Haro teammates Colin MacKay, Dennis Enarson and Ronnie Napolitan, as well as a film crew from American music channel ‘VH1’, who are producing a new program dubbed “The X-Wives”.

All riders will be vying for a share of the $25000 prize pool up for grabs in the BMX Pro division, but there’ll be no “easy money” in what’s fast becoming a stacked pro field.

“Nasty” will also feature in the ‘Action Sports Spectacular’, an energy-packed, fully-choreographed two-hour show, where a selection of world-class professionals will be invited to ‘come out and play’!
